Add and Edit Multi-Day Discounts
A multi-day discount is a percentage discount applied to reservations lasting longer than 24 hours.
Step 1: Log in to the SpotHero Control Panel and select a facility from the sidebar | Step 2: Select the Transient Rates page within the Rates & Inventory drop-down menu in the top bar. | Step 3: Click Edit in the banner at the top of the page. Scroll down to the Multi-Day Discounts section and make your desired updates!
Remember to click Save Changes in the top right corner to apply the new discount(s) to your facility and set them live on SpotHero.com. You may also click cancel to discard any changes.

*Multi-day discounts will not appear in the Flex Rates table, as the table displays exact rates per day and these discounts only apply to reservations lasting more than 24 hours.
How Discounts Work
You can apply a single multi-day discount to all reservations longer than 24 hours, or set up tiered discounts based on the specific length of each reservation. The discount will apply to the entire reservation once the duration threshold is met.
A discount can be set for one or more of the following reservation durations:
> 1 day (>24h)
2+ days (48h+)
3+ days (72h+)
5+ days (120h+)
7+ days (168h+)
14+ days (336h+)
28+ days (672h+)
Example:
Say a facility has the following transient rate configurations:
Daily 24-hour rate = $20
> 1 day (>24h) discount = 10%
3+ days (72h+) discount = 15%
7+ days (168h+) discount = 20%
The following are the rates that would be charged based on the length of the reservation:
Reservation Length | Total Cost Before Discount | Total Cost After Discount |
1 day / 24 Hour Reservation | $20 | $20 because multi-day discounts only apply to reservations lasting LONGER than 24 hours |
2 days / 48 Hour Reservation | $20 + $20 = $40 | Apply the 10% Discount: $40 X (1 - 0.10) = $36 |
5 days / 120 Hour Reservation | $20 + $20 + $20 + $20 + $20 = $100 | Apply the 15% Discount: $100 X (1 - 0.15) = $85 |
7 days / 168 Hour Reservation | $20 + $20 + $20 + $20 + $20 + $20 + $20 = $140 | Apply the 20% Discount: $140 X (1 - 0.20) = $112 |

Please note, we'll never sell a multi-day reservation for less than your daily 24-hour rate, no matter the discount you enter. We’ll use the 24-hour rate unless the multi-day rate (after discounts) ends up costing more. Therefore your 24-hour rate will act as a floor rate for multi-day reservations.
Example:
Say a facility has the following transient rate configurations:
1 hr rate = $1
24 hr rate = $24
Fixed (linear) rate logic: rates increase by $1 every hour
Multi-day Discount: 10%
The following are the rates that would be charged based on the length of the reservation:
Reservation Length | Total Cost | Reason |
24 Hour Reservation | $24 | Because a 10% discount on $24 would make the total cost less than the 24 hour rate |
25 Hour Reservation | $24 | Because a 10% discount on $25 would make the total cost less than the 24 hour rate |
26 Hour Reservation | $24 | Because a 10% discount on $26 would make the total cost less than the 24 hour rate |
27 Hour Reservation | $24.30 | Because a 10% discount on $27 results in a higher cost than the 24 hour rate |
