Navigate the Control Panel
Updated over a week ago

Our team is continuously working on releasing new Control Panel features and enhancing existing ones to develop a best-in-class portfolio management portal. Our goal is to provide you with comprehensive insights and full control over your facilities.

This article provides details on how to select facilities and navigate between pages so you can get the most out of the Control Panel!

Select a Facility

Use the sidebar on the left of the Control Panel to search for and select a facility whose online operations you would like to view or manage.

Search and Filter Facilities

You can quickly find the location(s) you would like to view or manage by:

  • searching based on address, facility name, SpotHero ID, or Facility ID (if applicable)

  • filtering based on city or sales status (on, archived, off).

Use the “Selected” tab to easily view the location(s) you have chosen.

If a facility appears in the “Selected” tab, relevant data for that facility will be displayed on the Control Panel page you are currently viewing. Keep in mind that if you deselect a facility in either the “List (All)” tab or the “Selected” tab, it will no longer appear in the “Selected” tab.

Keep In Mind

Filtering

  • A filter for only “on” facilities is automatically applied when you log in. You can remove this filter to search for and view “off” or “archived” facilities.

  • To successfully update filters, be sure to click the “Apply Filters” button after making your selections in the Filters flyout.

Facility List

  • Facilities are grouped and sorted alphabetically by address.

  • The first facility in your list of locations will be automatically selected when you log in. If you do not want to view or manage this facility, you can select other facilities from your list and deselect the default facility in either the “List (All)” or “Selected” tab.

Searching

  • Search terms must match the string of characters in the facility address, facility name, SpotHero ID, or Facility ID (if applicable). Search terms are not case-sensitive.

    • Example: Say you are searching for a facility with the following address: 125 S Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60603

      • Search terms that would successfully populate this address:

        • Chicago

        • Clark Street

        • 125 S

        • Chi

      • Search terms that would not populate this address:

        • Street, Chicago

        • Clark Chicago

        • 125 Chicago

        • 125 Clark

  • Collapsible Sidebar

    • The sidebar is collapsible so you have the option to view Control Panel pages across the full web browser. To collapse it, click the small arrow on the top- right corner of the sidebar.

    • You can reopen the sidebar by clicking the “Search” button, the “Selected Facilities” button, or the arrow again. Clicking the “Selected Facilities” button will take you directly to the “Selected” tab within the sidebar, where you can easily view the location(s) you have chosen.

Selecting One Facility Versus Selecting Multiple Facilities

The number of facilities you can select and manage at a time depends on the page you are viewing. This is because certain pages are designed to provide insights across a portfolio of facilities, while others are intended to give you control over a single facility at a time.

Pages with Portfolio View Capabilities:

  • Dashboard (the homepage)

  • Reservations

  • Blackouts (within the Rates & Inventory menu)

  • Changelog (within the Facility Information menu)

  • Accounting and Refunds (both within the Accounting menu)

You can also distinguish between pages that allow multi-facility versus single-facility selections by checking for the green “Portfolio View” banner in the sidebar.

Navigate Between Pages

Use the top bar to navigate between pages with different insights and self-service tools that enable you to track reservations and revenue, adjust inventory, update availability, and edit rates in real-time.

We intuitively labeled and organized the Control Panel pages to help you efficiently find relevant data and make updates! Check out this article for an overview of how pages are grouped and labeled, as well as the content you can expect on each page. Please note that certain pages within the Rates & Inventory drop-down menu may be grayed out depending on the location(s) you have selected. If you have one facility selected, the rate or inventory pages associated with types of reservations that the facility is not set up to sell will be grayed out. If you have multiple facilities selected, then pages will only be grayed out if none of the selected facilities are set up to sell that type of reservation.

Switching Between Portfolio View and Single View Pages

Your list of selected facilities may change when switching between pages with portfolio view capabilities and those with single view capabilities. If you initially have multiple facilities selected while on a portfolio view page, only the most recently selected facility will remain selected when you navigate to a single-view page. When you return to a portfolio view page, your original list of selected facilities will repopulate.

Example:

  1. Step 1: You start off on the Dashboard page, where you can select and view performance data for multiple facilities.

  2. Step 2: You select 3 facilities in the following order

    1. 225 King Street W, Toronto, ON M5V 3M2, Canada

    2. 135 Fifth Ave, New York, NY 10010

    3. 125 S Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60602

  3. Step 3: You need to update rates, so you navigate to the Flex Rates page within the Rates & Inventory drop-down menu. When you get to the Flex Rates page, only 125 S Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60602 remains selected since it was the most recent facility you chose.

    1. Keep in mind: You can easily switch the facility whose transient rates you want to view and manage by selecting a different location in the sidebar.

  4. Step 4: You then decide to go to the Reservations page, where you can review active and upcoming reservations for one or more facilities. When you land on the Reservations page, all three facilities will be reselected, and their reservation data will populate within the table.

    1. Keep in mind: If you only want to view reservations for one facility or a different portfolio of facilities, you can easily update your selected locations in the sidebar.
